Which Elite Models This Applies To

Elite SL3000 and SL4000 series swing gate operators use different arm brackets than the older Elite MI series, and if you weld a bracket in the wrong position, the operator fights the gate every cycle and burns out prematurely.

Ignoring it lets moisture into the crack and accelerates rust, especially with Plano’s humidity swings.
• The gate post leans or the gate hangs lower on one side. This is the big one. A leaning post means the footing was undersized for the gate’s weight, or the soil has compacted unevenly. We weld a repair plate to the post and sometimes add a reinforced footing collar rather than digging up the whole post.
